Narrative Supposing Books Gold Medal Threat
I read a copy of this book upon request from the author for an honest review. This is the third book I have read by this author but the first one that is a YA for boys. It is filled with sport, suspense and the boys being detectives getting them in deep trouble. Casey and his friend is up against the mafia, organised crime, murderers but it is girls that trip them up. I loved this wholesome family friendly story focused upon the Olympic games in Australia this is one story that most ya boys will adore. Most ya girls will develop a crush and most adults, like me, will like to read a book that they can read to their children with no fear. I highly recommend the purchase of this book for your son, yourselve, a friend, a nephew a dad. It is fun, the story is fast and engaging. Two boys get the chance of a lifetime, to see the olympics. However they end up overhearing two hired hands talk about killing a gymnast. This book has a unique and highly enjoyable story line that is full of action and mystery. Great read that even the non sports lover can enjoy! This story had me go back in time to the books I read when I was about the age my son is now (12 y), and I have to confess it's a great read even for an adult. Like with all books for younger children, some parts are not very logical, but you have to be able to have two young boys that play hero and get away with almost anything in these stories. The number of stars comes from the idea my son had about the book, he said there was far too much sports in there, and he doesn't like sports in books

Casey Clark and his best friend, Johnny Scott, are on their way to the Olympic Games in Australia. Caseys dad, Reid, is one of the participants, as are many of the boys friends from AllSport, a unique, high-end sports training facility, the heart of the Inner City Sports Foundation. After their first night there, suffering from jet lag and sleep-deprivation, the boys hit the hotel gym to work off their energy. There, they overhear a conversation that will permanently alter their experiences
Gold Medal Threat by Michael BalkindRating 5*****Thus book was provided from the author in exchange for honest literary review. When Casey and Johnny went to Australia for the Summer Olympics it was nothing like the vacation they had planned. It turned into a race to catch a pair of assassins and save a young gymnasts life. If they only knew which gymnast it was.... In the tradition of great adolescent mystery series like the Hardy Boys, this is an amazing adventure. The plot is so well done and
This book was a great read as it followed Casey and Johnny as they acted like detectives to catch killers to save a gymnast life. I recommend this book for others to pick up and read.
This is a pretty good book. It's really for young teens, but as I am crazy about the Olympics I though it might he fun to read. Obviously it is better read by the age group for which it's intended, but even so, I quite enjoyed it. Hard to mark, as I'm so far out of the age range, and don't read that many of this genre, but I'll give it a 4* rating.
