Dickens' story of solitary miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is taught the true meaning of Christmas by a series of ghostly visitors, has proved one of his most well-loved works. My most cherished copy of A Christmas Carol is an illustrated Greek children's book that dates back to 1993. Charles Dickens is pretty much King of Christmas, and all these stories have a spectral vibe to them.
