Ilustration During Books The Wager (The Bet #2)
THE WAGER Lose a bet, lose your heart... What is it about a junior-high crush that can send an otherwise intelligent woman into a tailspin? TV reporter Char Lynn wishes she knew. Jake Titus is too rich, too handsome, too arrogant: a trifecta that once lured Char into the best night-and worst morning-after-of her life. Now they've been thrown together in a wedding party. It's awkward, but survivable . . . until Jake stops acting like a jerk, and starts acting like the man she'd always hoped he could be. If watching your brother marry your best friend is weird, being attracted to your best friend's other best friend is downright bizarre. Unfortunately for Jake, Char hasn't forgotten how he once tossed her aside. Worse still, Jake's already-nutty grandma is even crazier about Char. Cue meet-cute shenanigans and all manner of meddling, and somehow, Jake's falling. For Char. Now all he has to do is make her believe it . . .Particularize Books Concering The Wager (The Bet #2)

Let me start off by telling you how much I love this series! Rachel really can write sweet, sexy, funny stories! Her characters have me laughing out loud throughout the book. Especially Grandma! That woman is a riot, some of the things she pulls off are beyond hilarious. Jake Titus....what a fine specimen that man is! But, he's a jackass, he proved that in The Bet. However, you get more in depth with Jake in The Wager. He realizes how much he has thrown away and how his actions hurt those he5 WAGER STARS.After reading this story , once again I need to be checked into RA (romance anonymous). My romance boxes are full to the brim and overflowing after completing this tale of love. 'The wager' was one of my most highly anticipated books on my 'to read' shelf this month.'The bet' is one of my, I-love-forever-and-ever books and I could not wait to get my hands on this story of Jake Titus and Char Lynn. Rachel Van Dyken did not disappoint, the wager delivered on all romantic counts and
I regret reading this because it ruined my perfectly fun and nice impression of The Bet. Because this book tries too hard to follow the atmosphere of the first one it borders on being insane. That, and Jake gets a sudden epiphany and boom - he gets his redemption. If you read The Bet and loved it, I suggest skipping this one. Or at least skip the Jake and Char part to get to Travis and Kacey.

ARC received by the publisher via Net Gallery.I seriously just fell in love with a book. Rachel Van Dyken created another great mix of humor, wit and romance. This was pure sugary sweet love at it's best. Although Jake has some heated moments, there is nothing too steamy in this read. But the romance is off the charts. Nothing like a reformed playboy to cause your heart to skip a beat. Sometimes a great romance is just that, no angst or drama thrown in just for effects. "Because it's going to be
When a book's that good, I have nothing much to say. I don't know why. But for some reason, this story got to me. The storyline wasn't even that original. Nothing extraordinary. But I felt every emotion in it. I could relate well to them. The main characters stood out especially the hero, Jake Titus. I seriously have nothing left to say... I just loved it...
I'll admit, I've been a fan of Rachel Van Dyken's books for some time now. I was fortunate enough to read The Bet before it was released back when it was self-published - I loved the story of two brothers who made a bet as little boys that they each belived they would marry their best friend and neighbor Kacey. Well, older brother Travis won The Bet and in this amazing sequel The Wager we learn of a crazy wager between Grandma Nadine and Travis/Kacey.Let's not mince words here, younger brother
It was a toss up on who made the story more entertaining, Jake or his Granny, "sweetheart, I'm the one wearing hearing aids, not you. I called you a wh***. Would you like me to spell it for you, too?" She nudged Jake. "What did you do? Find her at a high school career fair?" And then ins a horrifyingly loud voice she began spelling. "W-H-O-R-E." To say that Granny is teaching Jakey-boy a lesson is an understatement but when she questions his orgasm making skills he gets a little perturbed,
