Like his previous works, Fitzek loves sticking to the element of surprise until the very last page and the results are shocking.Even though I could somewhat predict who the "eye collector" was, it was still shrouded in mystery and captivating with every word I read. The story is told in an amazing switch between various points of view, conveying the thoughts and feelings of multiple characters engaged in the story. The fluent flow of the events steers us into one direction, taking our attentionI was looking forward to reading this book after giving 5 stars to Die Therapie (Therapy being the English title) but unfortunately I found this book hard work. The basic plot, storyline and massive twist at the end were great but maybe the translation made it jumpy and difficult to follow. I've noticed that this book that was translated by a different person than Die Therapy so maybe that could be the problem? I found it hard to work out who was who with some of the characters and the chapters
Really enjoyed this book and didn't expect it to end the way it did. Is there a second book?

Just a well-made thriller story. Nothing more. That kind of book you wont remember anything about, in a short future.
The book starts with the last chapter and the chapters are numbered backwards - like a countdown. And it all makes sense by the end :)My biggest complaint with the book is that the main character is falsely accused... as I have stated several times - I do NOT like a plot where the main character is falsely accused.... it is like chalk on a blackboard to me. That is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 - my own personal quirk. However, as I gritted my teeth through those sections - the story itself
Epic
Wasn't my cup of tea, didn't like the end of the book first.it did make sense but for me an average read.
